The Milky Way Adventure Park is a day in the country that is out of this world, with 5 major rides and loads of live shows each and every day. The Cosmic Typhoon is a brand new roller coaster ride installed in 2007, the height restriction is 1.2m, but don’t worry there is another one for the smaller adventurers on the way, The Big Apple with a height restriction of 0.8m, if all goes well it should be up and running for the start of the 2008 season.

There is plenty to do even on rainy days, with indoor attractions ranging from alien adventures on the Clone Zone Ride to the fantastic Droid Destroyer Dodgems, not to mention the death defying slides and ball pools of the Time Warp, the North Coast’s largest indoor play area. Young children are well catered for too, at The Milky Way’s Fantasy Farm, where the under 5’s can enjoy their own ball pools, sand pits, play tractors and more.

For those who don’t wear themselves out on the rides, there’s plenty more activities to enjoy. There’s an indoor range where you can try your hand at shooting, archery or golf, and even an 18 hole putting green where you can put your skills to the test. Or why not take in the beautiful surrounding countryside, with a trip on the Milky Way Railway?

Prepare to be amazed at the Milky Way’s North Devon Bird of Prey Centre. Twice daily shows, where some of the falcons can reach speeds of over 100 mph, are conducted by the Head Falconer, and the simulated night time environment of the indoor Owl Theatre enchants young and old alike.

If you’re feeling peckish after all that activity, there’s a choice of cafés. The Thatched Café offers traditional lunches and a sunny tea garden, while the Galactic Café overlooks the Time Warp and is ideal for children’s birthday parties.
